Privacy Policy
This policy covers aibusinessassessment.com and aipracticeassessment.com (together, "the Assessment"). It's written in plain language on purpose — this baseline follows the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), and since visitors come from many countries, we apply the same disclosure and consent hygiene to everyone, not just California residents.
What we collect when you run a scan
We do not claim "nothing is stored" — that would be false. When you type a domain and run a free assessment, we keep a record of:
- The domain you scanned, and the automated findings about its public-facing website (title tags, schema markup, page speed, listed reviews, and similar public signals).
- The timestamp of the scan, the language/locale you viewed the site in, and how far you went in the free-to-paid funnel (scan → sample report viewed → pricing viewed → subscribed).
- If you give us an email (to save a report, verify a domain, or subscribe), that email and the domain it's associated with.
- If you verify ownership of a domain via the email code, we mark that report as self-verified — this distinguishes an owner looking at their own business from a third party (a competitor, buyer, or advisor) looking at someone else's. Third-party scans are used only as aggregate market intelligence; we do not contact a scanned business to tell them someone looked them up.
- If you subscribe, standard payment-processing data handled by our payment processor (we do not store your card number).
If you upload a P&L, SOPs, or other documents
Some parts of the product let you upload documents — a P&L, SOPs, job descriptions, payroll summaries — so we can produce a report grounded in your actual numbers instead of generic benchmarks. What happens to that file depends on which feature you used:
- The free P&L drop on the homepage is emailed directly to our team for a human, by-hand review. It is not processed by AI, and we don't store a copy of it in our systems beyond that one email.
- The Practice/Business Workup sends PDFs and images directly to Anthropic's Claude AI to read and generate your report. The file itself is then stored in our private cloud storage (Supabase) — it is never public, never sold, and not accessible without our credentials. CSV and text files are read the same way; other formats (like Excel) aren't automatically read yet, and the report will say so plainly if a file couldn't be used.
- The paid AI Transformation Deep Dive also sends your files directly to Anthropic's Claude AI to read and generate the analysis — but the file itself is never written to storage at all. It's used for that one analysis and then discarded; only the resulting report is saved.
In every case, the only third party that ever sees document content is Anthropic (the company behind Claude), solely to generate your report — never for training their models on your data, never sold, never shared with anyone else. Request deletion of anything we do store the same way as below: email us.
What we don't do
- We never sell your data to third parties.
- We never attach an individual's name to an automated report — reports are issued by the product, not by a person.
- We never contact a business to say "someone scanned you."
Why we collect it
To run the assessment itself, to improve accuracy over time, to understand which industries and business sizes use the product (aggregated, not sold), and — if you've given us an email — to follow up about your own report or subscription.
Your choices
Email jonathan@tdibroker.com to request a copy of what we hold about your domain or email, or to request deletion. We honor deletion requests within a reasonable time and confirm by email once complete.
Cookies & local storage
We use browser local storage to remember your language preference and, briefly, your most recent scan so the free-to-paid funnel works across pages. No third-party ad-tracking cookies are set by this product.
Children
This product is intended for business owners and operators, not children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date above will change and, where required, we'll post a notice on the homepage.
